The first present to a newborn - The Finnish Maternity Package

We had the pleasure to participate an interesting talk show, discussing parenthood in Japan and Finland. I was especially glad to hear about presence of father’s associations in Japan. Through these neighborhood associations, fathers organize gatherings were they can take part in activities together with their children and also get peer support from other fathers.

Generally, Japanese fathers are getting more involved in their children’s lives. Changes occur slowly but more and more fathers wish to spend time with their families. Even employers are setting limits on overwork and trying to send people earlier home.

New generation of fathers is more and more interested to be involved in their children's lives, this might be a chance for new products and innovations.
