Baby & Kids Expo + 13 other trade fairs and Exhibitions at ones

This is the largest trade show in Japan with goods for babies, kids and parenting. There were both foreign and Japanese companies presenting goods that are needed before baby is born and others that are for newborn babies, infants and bigger children.

Most exhibitors were presenting their new products or looking for new customers and markets. There were a large number of buyers, importers etc. which made the trade fair area lively with business talk and negotiations. There were foreign exhibitors from USA, Canada, China, and several European countries looking for agencies or buyers. A large number of foreign companies were represented through agencies able to present the products in Japanese. Key point of many goods exhibited was to do things more ecologically or to offer non-allergenic options for goods that families use every day.

The trade show was held at Tokyo Big Sight, an Exhibition Center where there were total 13 expos or trade shows open for visitors at the same time. In total there were 30% more foreign exhibitors than in 2017. Other trade shows exhibited cutting edge interior design, table and kitchenware, stationary with innovative design, gifts and other lifestyle goods. Especially interesting was to see products with connectivity to the internet (IoT). Exhibitions showcased services and had seminars about sales, marketing and Web&IT among others.

There are many kinds of goods that are widely used in one country but are hard to get in another country. Trade offers interesting business opportunities both to and from Japan!
